For tenants
Your rent history should work for you.
Keep your lease, rent records and repair requests in one place. Add the places you've rented and ask each landlord to confirm them; when your landlord is on RentID too, your tenancy is verified by both of you. Share that record when you apply for your next home on RentID.
How it works
1. Create your account
Sign up with the email address your landlord knows, so an invitation from them finds you.
2. Add your rentals
Add where you live and where you've lived, and ask each landlord to confirm it from a link we e-mail them. If your landlord is on RentID and invites you or adds your rental, accepting it verifies the tenancy.
3. Build the record
Rent, repair requests, your lease and move-in photos collect in one place. A payment you report stays marked as reported by you until your landlord confirms it.
What you get
Rent records
Each month's rent and its status. Your landlord records what they receive, and you can report a payment for them to confirm.
Lease and documents
Your lease terms and the documents your landlord shares, in one place — not lost in an old email thread.
Maintenance with a timeline
Report an issue, follow its status and get notified when it changes. RentID records when it was first answered and when it was resolved.
A shareable rental profile
Apply to rentals on RentID and choose whether to share your verified tenancies with the landlord. Ask a landlord about a listing before you apply.
Reviews after you move out
Once a verified tenancy ends, review the landlord and the home, one review per tenancy. Landlords can respond, and a person at RentID settles disputes.
Not available yet
You can't pay rent through RentID yet, and nothing is reported to credit bureaus. Payments you or your landlord record are labeled as reported; RentID marks a payment verified only when it handled the money itself.
